Plenity (Gelesis100) is an oral hydrogel capsule that the US FDA cleared as a medical device, not a drug, for adults with BMI 25 to 40. You swallow it with water before lunch and dinner; it expands in the stomach to add volume and a feeling of fullness, then passes out in the stool without being absorbed into your body. In the GLOW study it produced about 6.4% weight loss at 24 weeks versus 4.4% with placebo, so the real effect over placebo was around 2 percentage points — a lower-risk but also lower-reward option. It is not approved or sold in India, so talk to your doctor about what is actually available.
