Hakka noodles and manchurian - why is this combo so oily?
A plate of veg hakka noodles with dry veg manchurian can run over 1100 kcal, mostly because the noodles swim in oil and the manchurian balls are deep-fried. A home version with less oil on the noodles cuts the same combo to under 700 kcal without losing the taste.
